Virgin River - Melinda Monroe answers an ad to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner in the remote Northern California town of Virgin River, thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave painful memories behind. An easy to watch romance, season 3 is out now on Netflix.

Starstruck - A drunken New Year's eve hook-up becomes far more complicated for Jessie when she discovers her one night stand is actually a film star. Catch it on ABC iview

The Chair - At a major university, the first woman of color to become chair tries to meet the dizzying demands and high expectations of a failing English department. Satrring everyone's favourite Grey's Anatomy character, Sandra Oh, watch it now on Netflix.

Ted Lasso - This easy watching comedy is back for season 2 on Apple TV. Jason Sudeikis just won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his portray of Ted, a small-time football coach who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.

WHAT WE'RE LISTENING TO THIS MONTH

The Dropout: Elizabeth Holmes on Trial. The story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye? How did the woman once heralded as “the next Steve Jobs” find herself facing criminal charges — to which she pleaded not guilty — and up to decades in prison?
