This bag would be 5 stars if it had an external phone / wallet zip pocket. Once the main zipper is closed its hard to reopen (on the subway etc) As someone who wears a lot of dresses there it gets annoying having to put the bag down to unzip and then rezip it. You really need 2 hands to close this bag because of the contruction. Overall I do really like its better than any other bags I've had for commuting

Versatile, light-weight and very practical
I heard about the Bella from two other women at a work lunch. They raved about it, and one stood up and demonstrated how the Bella converts from a shoulder bag to a backpack. I was immediately sold! I use my Bella for work and it comfortably fits my laptop, lunch and all the other bits I carry with me. I love how easily it converts to a backpack, which protects my shoulders and back from the weight of carrying all my work gear. Love, love, love - this is my third Bella purchase !
This is the third Bella bag I have purchased. The first was the Bella XL in Taupe that I used for international travel. It fit all the travel essentials. The second was a gift for my sister who has three kids - she loves the hands free / backpack feature.
And this Bella in black was my birthday gift this year - on request.
I love the Bella bags as the leather is high quality, and the back pack conversion is so useful without being daggy. As many have commented on, the only improvement would be adjustable straps, but for me, this is more of an issue for the XL rather than the standard size Bella.
